How provider intelligence supports independent advice

We maintain verified provider information internally to support independent employer guidance. Provider identities and comparisons are currently shared through the advisory process rather than published as an open directory.

01 / Guidance approach

Start with the whole capability picture.

  • Development should start with the person, the capability they already have and the work their role requires next—not a course catalogue.
  • Personal AI experience is useful context, not a requirement or proof of workplace competence. Limited workplace usage can reflect access, policy or role constraints.
  • Usage frequency, confidence and demonstrated ability are different signals and should not be treated as interchangeable.
  • The national standard matters, but the provider programme beneath it must also be investigated: curriculum, practice, technology access, support, currency and fit.
  • More tools, certificates or added features do not automatically mean a better programme; relevance and evidence matter.

02 / Evidence

Our evidence principles

  • Provider intelligence is based on current official programme pages or another authoritative source.
  • Verification confirms published availability; it does not mean a provider is endorsed, recommended, preferred or approved by AI Apprenticeships.
  • National apprenticeship-standard facts are kept separate from provider-specific delivery, qualifications, platforms and support.
  • Provider claims are translated into concise factual descriptions. Unsupported superlatives and outcome claims are not used.
  • AI Apprenticeships may have commercial or referral relationships with some providers. A relationship does not change the standard facts or evidence rules.
  • Employer suitability is assessed against role fit, delivery requirements, learner support, employer support and organisational context—not a provider ranking.

03 / Separation

Standard facts and delivery offers are different evidence layers.

The standard

Defined nationally. The occupation, level, funding band, required knowledge, skills and behaviours come from Skills England and government sources.

The delivery offer

How an individual organisation structures and enhances the standard: duration, delivery model, qualifications, technology access, support and added value.

04 / Maintenance

Data maintenance

Every internal provider and programme-delivery record includes source evidence and a verification date. Records that cannot be reverified are withheld from current adviser guidance until checked again.
